FHP K-9 Receives Bullet Proof Vest

Alfred, a Florida Highway Patrol K-9 assigned to Trooper Marvin Wagner Jr., Troop A, Pensacola, recently received a bullet-proof vest donated by the Animal Hospital of Pensacola. The vest was purchased at a cost of $676.00 from the Guardian Angel Foundation using donations received at the animal hospital from employees and clients.

The custom fitted vest weighs 3 1/2 pounds and includes a patch/pocket from the animal hospital, which contains a St. Francis Medal for added protection. St. Francis is the Patron Saint of animals and preached compassion for all living creatures.
