And The Winner Is…

Rayburn, Carter, Capra, MosherEarlier this month at the Brooksville FHP station, Florida Highway Patrol Auxiliary Chief David Rayburn, FHP Lieutenant Allen Carter, and FHPA Major Bill Mosher presented Mr. Jim Capra with a new Sony DVD player. Mr. Capra held the winning raffle ticket which he purchased this past April, when he signed up to ride in the spring Special Olympic Law Enforcement Torch Run Motorcycle Run. The DVD player was donated by the FHP Auxiliary as a raffle item to help generate funds for Special Olympics. This was the second annual motorcycle run hosted by the Florida Highway Patrol. All proceeds from the event went to support the 2002 Special Olympic athletes during their summer competition.

Mr. Capra and over 100 other civic-minded members of the community donated their time and money to make this a successful event. The Florida Highway Patrol would like to thank all the individuals who participated in this year’s Motorcycle Run fundraiser. Mark your calendars now – next April’s motorcycle run in Citrus County will be bigger and better than ever!
