Top Troopers Recognized
Retired FHP Captain Bob Fleming, representing Buckle Up Florida, recently recognized seven troopers from Troop H for their outstanding enforcement efforts during the Memorial Day phase of the statewide campaign. The troopers were recognized at a recent Leon County Community Traffic Safety Team meeting held at the Leon County Sheriff’s Office.
Pictured from left to right are Major Ken Howes, Acting Troop H Commander, Trooper Donnie Pitts (Madison District), Trooper Charles Broach (Quincy District), Trooper Richard Elliott (Quincy District), Captain Fleming, Trooper Steve Gaskins (Madison District), and Leon County Sheriff Larry Campbell. Partially pictured next to Sheriff Campbell is Captain Ken Spears, Tallahassee District Commander.
Other troopers that were recognized but not able to attend the ceremony included Troopers Jennifer Welch and Victor Pandolfi (Quincy District) and Corporal Bill Grubbs (Madison District).
Congratulations to these and other troopers from around the state who worked so hard to increase Florida’s safety belt and child restraint rate!
