Donation of Tissues and Organs
The online registry at DonateLifeFlorida.org/Register, allows residents, as well as even those who live outside Florida to designate themselves as organ, tissue and eye donors.
The online registry also makes the exact wishes of registered donors more accessible and current for organ, tissue and eye recovery organizations. When someone dies, these organizations will be able to quickly determine online whether that individual is a potential organ, tissue or eye donor. The donor’s wishes will then be carried out, providing life-saving and life-enhancing gifts to patients in need of an organ, tissue or eye transplant.
Visiting an office? You can also register while completing your driver license application. When the Examiner/Agent asks, “Would you like to save a life today?” Simply say “YES” and you’re done!
Donate Life Florida
Donate Life Florida is dedicated to empowering the public to save and enhance lives through organ and tissue donation as well as make other lifesaving donations, such as blood and marrow. Funding for the registry comes solely from voluntary contributions to the Health Care Trust Fund through the $1 donation Floridians make when obtaining motorist services.
