Subject: Destroy "Restricted" Decals

Advisory Date: 2/19/03

Implementation Date: Immediately

Advisory Number: R03-04

Prior to the FRVIS 2000 System, decals with the word "Restricted" printed on them were provided to be affixed on top of the county name on dual truck license plates. Such decals were used when the truck weighed 26,001 pounds or more and was used solely for transporting agricultural or horticultural products within a 150-mile radius of its home address.

Now with the FRVIS 2000 System, trucks used for agricultural and horticultural purposes are issued one license plate embossed with the word "Restricted." If the truck weighs 26,001 pounds or more, the license plate is displayed on the front of the truck. If the truck weighs below 26,001 pounds, the license plate is displayed on the back of the truck.

Therefore, if you still have any "Restricted" decals, which were previously utilized for dual truck license plates, the decals need to be destroyed. Since these decals are not an audited item and are no longer inventoried, you may destroy the decals locally (i.e. incinerate, shred, etc.)
