Florida’s New Specialty License Plate Goes On Sale
~Keiser University tag meets pre-sale voucher requirements~
The Keiser University tag is Florida’s 123rd specialty license plate. The revenue generated by the additional $25 fee for the plate will help provide annual college scholarships for students of Keiser University.
The Legislature approved the plate last year and the law creating the tag took effect in October. Florida law requires organizers to sell 1,000 pre-sale vouchers within 24 months of becoming law before an approved specialty license plate can go into production. Pre-sale orders for the Keiser plate exceeded that requirement within a matter of weeks.
