Dodge Stealth

On September 17, 1994, a 1992 Dodge Stealth was being shipped to Antwerpen from Quebec, Canada. Florida Highway Patrol Investigator Sergeant Tim Spaulding inspected the Stealth at the Port of Jacksonville.

The vehicle could not be identified as to the owner due to the VIN plate being changed. The Federal Standard sticker was counterfeit and the confidential VIN had been ground off and welded over.

The Dodge Stealth was seized and awarded to FHP on November 15, 1995. The vehicle was used briefly by FHP Investigators before transferring to the Public Affairs Section.

Florida Highway Patrol Auxiliary Trooper Fred Ames transformed the Stealth into a Florida Highway Patrol show car. Trooper Ames did extensive body work before painting the vehicle black and yellow. In his spare time, Fred and his son, Steven, worked three weeks on the Stealth, but it was well worth waiting for.

The Dodge Stealth will be used around the State as a display car at schools, malls, parades, etc.
