Project "Hydro Link" busts another grow house
DEA agents and troopers say they have busted grow houses at 842 Oro Avenue and 829 Aprile Avenue, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The homes were busted as part of the “Hydro Link” operation, which flags homes based on extra irrigation and water consumption.
At the Oro home, troopers were greeted at the door today by Roman Gomez-Ulloa, according to Sgt. Daniel Hinton. Inside the home, officials found video cameras, cultivation equipment and 71 immature marijuana plants.
At the Aprile address, no one was home but a warrant was served and officials found 157 plants inside, along with growing equipment. In total, officials estimate $308,000 worth of plants were seized.
Suspects have been identified but no arrests have been announced.
