Man stopped for speeding busted for coke
A highway patrol trooper stopped a speeder yesterday after he was clocked at 88 mph by another trooper in a plane, and ended up busting the driver for cocaine trafficking.
Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Jeff Benoit arrested Frank Henry Dukes, 34, yesterday on Alligator Alley at Mile Marker 94 in Collier County, according to an FHP report.
Dukes was clocked at 86 mph by FHP Aircraft Pilot Sgt. Gary Schluter. Benoit stopped the car and determined the suspect's driver's license was fake. Records showed a suspended license for the suspect, so Benoit arrested him.
When the car was searched, 360 gross grams of cocaine were found in the center console. Dukes was taken to Collier County jail.
