Marijuana-growing operation found in Lehigh
The Florida Highway Patrol has shut down a marijuana-growing operation at a Lehigh Acres home, seizing 51 plans with an estimated street value of $120,000.
The bust came as the agency was working with the Drug Enforcement Administration Task Force on Operation "Hydro Link.''
Agents received information that someone was growing marijuana at 1510 Moore Avenue in northeastern Lehigh Acres. After receiving a warrant, they searched the home at 7:20 p.m. Thursday and found part of the home had been converted into a marijuana-growing operation, with lights, fans, air conditioning, Co2 distributors and timers, along with the 51 pot plants.
No arrests have yet been made, but FHP officials said they will be getting an arrest warrant for a suspect soon.
