Trooper hurt in accident
Daytona Beach -- A Florida Highway Patrol trooper was injured Sunday as her car spun out of control while entering Interstate 4 near Daytona Beach.
Trooper Sonja Chapman, 22, was on an I-4 entrance ramp near Interstate 95 on her way to a call. Then, according to an FHP release, the 2004 Crown Victoria she was driving "rotated, going up against the guard rail."
No further explanation was offered for the crash, which happened at 7:27 a.m.
Chapman was taken to Halifax Medical Center with "moderate" injuries.
