Click It Or Ticket
If you have a lead foot or don't wear your seat belt this Memorial Day weekend, you face a high risk of getting a ticket.
Two dozen extra state troopers will join more sheriff deputies and police officers on patrol across Central Florida trying to make sure you drive safely.
Last year across Florida during the holiday weekend 44 drivers lost their lives.
Troopers say on average 60 percent of all traffic fatalities were not wearing their seatbelts, and they will have zero tolerance for those not buckled up.
FHP Lt. Pat O’Neill said: "Seatbelts are the single thing any motorists can do to save their own life. You can't dictate how others will drive. You can only drive your own car, but you can protect yourself by wearing your seatbelt."
Law enforcement officers will use radar and helicopters to catch speeders and will also be on the lookout for aggressive and drunk drivers.
