Highway Patrol targets illegal driving on I-95
The Florida Highway Patrol announced Wednesday that an enforcement campaign being called Staying Alive on 95 will be conducted through Friday, targeting traffic laws along Interstate 95.
Thirty-one people have died this year in crashes on I-95 in the nine-county region that includes Baker, Clay, Duval, Flagler, Nassau, Putnam and St. Johns counties.
Staying Alive on 95 will be conducted on I-95 in 12 counties from the Georgia line to Miami. Troopers will be using marked and unmarked vehicles, motorcycles, aircraft and other methods to catch speeders, reckless drivers, tailgaters and aggressive drivers, according to officials.
