Accident Reports...
When troopers complete crash investigations, a copy of the report is typically available to the public with 7 to 10 working days. Under Florida Law, a small fee of $2 is required to obtain a copy of a crash report. When a fatality occurs, a normal crash report is made, but a more in-depth report is also done, called a traffic homicide investigation or THI. A THI report is typically ready within 60 days, and the fee for this report is $25 per copy. Reports may be obtained in person, or by mail. Payment is required at the time of request. Since Troop "G" covers several counties, reports for various locations are only sold at certain offices. Please contact the following locations for a copy of a crash or other report:

Florida Statute 316.066 prohibits the use of informaiton contained in crash reports for purposes of commercial solicitation. Personal information contained on crash reports is exempt from pubic records laws for a period of not less than 60 days. Only parties involved in the crash, their legal counsel, insureres, and media officials may obtain crash reports within the 60 day timeframe imposed by statute.
