A Florida Highway Patrol K-9 will receive a donated bullet- proof vest this morning at the Animal Hospital of Pensacola on 12th Avenue.
Employee and client donations during the past year allowed the animal hospital to purchase the 3.5-pound vest from the Guardian Angel foundation in Tamarac.
The Kevlar vest, costing almost $700, will be given to Alfred, a German Shepherd, at 11 a.m.
