Drivers who usually look for troopers on the ground may want to keep an eye on the sky this Memorial Day weekend.
The Florida Highway Patrol will have additional troopers enforcing Interstate 4 and the Polk Parkway during the holiday.
As part of that enforcement, the agency will have planes monitoring state roads to catch aggressive and speeding drivers.
The pilots will clock speeding drivers and then report that information to troopers on the ground who can pull the vehicle over.
In addition to the aircraft and traditional FHP vehicles, the agency will also have troopers in unmarked cars.
Buckle Up Florida's Click It or Ticket safety campaign also continues through the weekend.
Law enforcement officers throughout the state will check vehicles to make sure children are properly restrained and occupants are buckled up.
