A night out at San Ann Liquors and Lounge landed a Tampa man in jail, officials said.
A Florida Highway Patrol trooper stopped to investigate after spotting a 2000 Toyota van parked along State Road 52 about 3:20 a.m. Sunday. The trooper saw a man standing behind the van urinating and the passenger door open. Jonathan Davis, 27, of Tampa, was in the driver's seat and another man was on the floor in the back, officials said.
Trooper Ronald Evans reported finding a receipt from the lounge for $93.84 with a time stamp of 2:09 a.m. Sunday, according to a patrol report. After Davis was unable to complete field sobriety tests, he was arrested on a drunken driving charge, officials said. He was released from the Land O' Lakes jail after posting $250 bail.
