An Alturas man has been arrested for identity theft and related charges, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The FHP arrested Michael L. Baggett, 52, on March 11. He is being held at the Polk County Jail on a $100,000 bail.
According to the FHP, Baggett engaged in mail theft and used documents to forge counterfeit checks. FHP said Baggett also forged identification cards, Medicaid cards and Social Security cards.
