Dear Madam or Sir,
I am writing this e-mail to give a big thanks to Trooper Luis Rios (ID #838) and Ranger Jerry for helping me with a flat tire. On Thursday, 3/8/12, around 6:30 p.m., I was driving northbound on the Veterans Expressway, just passed the Ehrlich exit, when my front passenger-side tire stripped and went completely flat. I immediately pulled over to the right shoulder and called AAA. Within five minutes of my calling AAA, Office Rios pulled up behind me. He walked over to my car and said that he noticed that I had a flat tire and that he had called the Ranger to come change it. He also said that he would sit with me until the Ranger arrived, which he did. I informed him that I called AAA and that they were on their way; he advised me to cancel the call. 10 minutes later, Jerry, the Ranger, pulled up to my car, arriving before the AAA technician. Trooper Rios stayed with me the whole time, while Jerry changed my tire. I am extremely grateful to them both, and for the FHP, knowing that it is safely patrolling our highways to ensure riders enjoy a safe and smooth ride.
