Compliments for Trooper Henry Lockwood
To Whom It May Concern:
For the 2011 – 2012 academic school year, Madie Ives Elementary of Miami-Dade County has been fortunate to have the presence of a Florida Highway Patrol State Trooper to enforce the speed limit in our school zone located on Ives Dairy Road and NE 14th Avenue. Words cannot express the gratitude for Trooper Henry Lockwood’s providing this necessary service for the safety of our students.
Upon learning about issues of speeding traffic through our school zone areas, Trooper Lockwood immediately answered a request to stop cars breaking the speed limit law in our school zone. Every morning that he has been available, Trooper Lockwood has been at Madie Ives monitoring and regulating traffic in our school zone. His willingness and diligence to be of service it this manner has been unmatched. Without his presence, our school year would not have been as safe as it has been for our students.
Moreover, Trooper Lockwood has truly been a caring law enforcement officer, having come into our school zone when not required to show his commitment to ensure a safe environment for our children. He has always been respectful and honest in his approach to dealing with the speeding traffic, even stopping teachers not following the law. Due to this, I consider Trooper Lockwood an important part of our Madie Ives community.
As a teacher, I would like to thank Trooper Lockwood for being here for our students’ protection. I would also like to thank the Florida Highway Patrol for allowing him to spend this time within the Madie Ives community to make it safer! He has truly been a blessing!
