I wanted to take this opportunity to compliment Trooper J. M. Greene (ID Number: 2935). On May 7, my wife and I were driving from Panama City to Panacea for dinner at Angelo & Sons. At about 530PM, Trooper Greene stopped me for speeding and ticketed me for driving 64/mph in a 55/mph zone.
Trooper Greene is the third state trooper I have interacted with during my lifelong residence in Florida. He is the second whom I have found to be such an impressive representation of law enforcement in general and the State Highway Patrol in specific, that even after being ticketed, I would want to offer my thanks for a law enforcement officer of this quality. (NB: The first was, as I recall, Trooper Mike Wilson in Wakulla County in 2004). Trooper Greene was polite, professional and (even though I was getting a ticket) a complete pleasure to deal with; in other words, from my brief interaction with him…Trooper Greene is exactly the sort of person I want to see behind any badge. I hope you will pass along my compliments to Trooper Greene (and to Colonel Brierton), and will add this email (or the hard copy letter I will forward shortly) to his personnel file.
