I was leaving work in North Naples when I felt something wrong with my car. It continued to get worse so I chose not to get on I-75. I needed to make a bank deposit so decided to go to the ATM, thinking I would check my tire there. Since there was a truck at the ATM I thought it best to make my deposit first before pulling over and getting out of my car. When the person in front of me was finished at the ATM he pulled over and got out. As he approached my car he stated that he was a State Patrolman and that he noticed I had a flat tire. He immediately asked if I wanted to see his identification. He asked if I would like for him to change the tire and I agreed. He instructed me to finish the ATM transaction and pull into the parking lot. When I got out of my car he immediately showed his ID and proceeded to change the tire. Trooper Osborne was very polite and professional. He was off duty and did not have to stop and help. He is an exemplary representative of the FHP. I have always appreciated law enforcement officers and this only reinforces how much respect and appreciation they all deserve. I wish there was someway my husband and I could show our appreciation for the assistance Trooper Osborne gave to me that night. He turned what could have been a very miserable night into a pleasant situation for me. I truly feel that God was watching out for me by placing him there at that specific time.
