An officer to be recognized
It's hard for me to sometimes to see police officers other than ego driven power freaks, but I had a situation last night that gives officers a more positive look. I feel there is an officer that needs to be recognized for professionalism and dedication to true public safety. I told him thank you for his job well done, but I feel it was not enough. I really don't know any other way, so I need his supervisor to pat this guy on the back because he did his job! W.E. Carter (Badge 2623)
I was (in my opinion) in a really bad accident last night on top of the Dames Point bridge. Officer Carter, without missing a beat, took charge and staged JSO (Jacksonville Sheriff's Office) and prevented conceding accidents. Officer Carter, before anything else, ensured I was okay. He called me by my last name ("Mr. Simpson"), unlike other law enforcement departments, which made me respect him even more. He was courteous and listened and catered to me as the customer and I truly appreciate that! He carried himself as a professional and spoke with tact. If it was up to me, he would be promoted and in charge of the S.O.P. in professionalism in law enforcement.
Office Carter, thank you!!
