I wanted to take this opportunity to extend my sincere thanks and express my sincere appreciation for the great work that two troopers did in helping my wife.
A few weeks ago my wife was driving our Honda minivan to a charity event and hit some debris on the Sawgrass Expressway. The debris punctured her gas tank and gas was leaking everywhere. She exited the Expressway at Commercial and parked the minivan. Almost immediately FHP Trooper John Kimo and Auxillary Trooper James Kipple came to her aid. My wife was very worried about a gas explosion and was very shaken by the impact. The troopers settled her down and called the Coral Springs fire department who came to the scene and stopped the gas leak.
My wife was very grateful that the troopers stayed with my wife while we coordinated transferring the charity event cake samples to another vehicle.
I cannot emphasize how very helpful, considerate, concerned and polite those troppers were; my wife kept repeating how lucky she was that the troopers arrived on the scene so quickly and were so very helpful.
The Florida Highway Patrol is fortunate to have Trooper John Kimo and Auxillary Trooper James Kipple representing the organization. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to ensure that the troopers are appropriately recognized for their exceptional work.
Sincerely
Patrick Flanagan
