Dear Sir,

It was my great privilige to have met one of your officers - Sgt. Nicholas A. Causey. We (my daughter Jeanine and my wife) were on our way to Tallahassee as my daughter had an appointment with FDLE on May 7th when we were stopped by Sgt. Causey. He displayed professionalism and courtesy as he proceeded to give my daughter a lecture about her driving , and this we appeciated very much. We are certainly grateful for his discretion when making the decision not to give her a ticket.

My daughter inquired from him the address of FDLE where she had an appointment the following day, and this would prove to be the most impressive and delightful part of our trip. Sgt. Causey not only gave us the address, but led us directly to the offices of FDLE. We had never been to Tallahassee before and Sgt. Causey was aware of this and deliberately drove by a few restaurants to choose from, then took us to a hotel which he suggested. We believe that Sgt Causey went above and beyond the "Courtesy, Service, Protection" motto of the FHP. It was our great pleasure meeting this gentleman, and I am sure you must be proud to have an officer of this caliber in your department. Please convey to him our sincere thanks and appreciation and look forward to meeting him again (of course, under different circumstances).
