Hello,

I am writing in regards to Trooper Marie F Palisin-Bonilla, badge 2649. I grew up in a small town in Massachusetts where we knew the police by name and it was a rather friendly fashion in which we all interacted. Since moving to DC,VA and finally here I’ve been a passenger in vehicles that were stopped by officers for smaller violations like speeding, etc and in every one of those instances the officer has been very aggressive. In fact, once I was riding my bike and was almost hit by an officer of the Orlando PD who was making a left turn and crossing a lane of oncoming traffic. That particular officer swore at me. No citation was issued, of course.

I mention all this because my experience with this trooper was substantially more positive. She exercised her duties professionally in the matter, while also being polite, courteous, friendly, and approachable. The day to day actions with which we all carry out our jobs when dealing with the public reflect strongly upon our agency, company, etc and she has given outstanding service and is surely a role model to her peers.
