I am sending this letter to thank you and your entire staff of troopers for you wonderful assistance this past weekend. This past holiday weekend, my wife and I were traveling from Port Everglades to our home in Dothan, AL. About 20 miles north of Fort Lauderdale we were harassed by a couple of guys in a small SUV. They were tailgating us so we pulled over to the right to let them pass; they proceeded in front of us and then slammed on their brakes, almost forcing me off the road. This continued for approximately 10 minutes. We slowed down and stayed between a couple of cars and called 911 at mile marker 97 on Highway 95 North. My wife explained to the dispatcher what was going on and by mile marker 101 one of your troopers was there to help. Words can not explain the relief we felt when we saw one of your state troopers pull up beside us. The peace of mind, which your quick response gave us, helped us enjoy the rest of the afternoon ride thru your state. Please pass along my warmest thank you for a job well done and our heartfelt gratitude to you and yours. I hope you and all your troopers enjoy a wonderful 2006.
Thank you and God Bless and protect you all!!
