In the early evening hours of December 3 /06 my wife and I were travelling south along the Florida Turnpike in the area of St. Lucie. As we passed uner a highway overpass we noticed a troopers car to the right of the road and then saw the flashing lights come on and the officer enter the travelled portion of the highway. We were some what surprised to find that we in fact were the vehicle which the trooper was after.

Once at the right shoulder of the highway the trooper came up to my right to inform me that the trailer we were pulling had no running lights. It was a surprise to me as I am always watching for problems and try to avoid anything that might cause a dangerous situation.

Back to the Trooper who stopped us , I would like to commend this young lady for doing a great service to all of us who were on the road that evening. She , although was well within her duties to issue a ticket to me for this problem , she instead gave me a notice of faulty equipment and asked for me to get the problem repaired, which I did . Our Trooper that evening was Tpr K.Smith I.D. # 1417.

Please pass our deepest thanks along to her for a job well done, She is an asset to the Fl. Highway Patrol

Merry Christmas to all,

Larry and Patricia Hodder
