Dear Colonel Knight,

I just wanted to take a few moments to compliment you on one of your officers. Captain Joseph Saucedo of Troop D was very instrumental in resolving an issue I had with one of the troopers on the road. Trooper Yarborough was the complete antithesis of what I believe an FHP trooper should be. Yet, Capt Saucedo was the complete embodiment of an officer of the law. He went above and beyond to ensure that my complaints were addressed in regards to the treatment I received at the hands of Trooper Yarborough. Capt Saucedo is an asset to the Florida Highway Patrol. He should be offered a raise and a promotion. If all of your troopers were of the caliber of Capt Saucedo your organization and the citizens of the state of Florida would be served much better. He was kind and considerate. He acknowledged my concerns and he ensures me that Trooper Yarborough understands that when people are involved in an auto accident they may be a bit “concerned” by the events that have occurred.

It is with the utmost pleasure that compliment Capt Saucedo. Please extend my thanks to him and please ensure that his efforts are not taken for granted.
