To: Whom this may concern,
I want to recognize one of your troopers for going out of his way to help me when I was stranded on the side of the Florida Turnpike a week ago. My car had lost it's rear end and I was forced to pull over luckily it was near a rest area and there was a trooper communication center there. Capt. Egeli (who's name I learned later from some troopers in the gift shop) was off duty I think, (wasn't in uniform) but asked if I was alright and further tried to get me a decent deal on a 30 mile tow back to Coral Springs. He was very pleasant and really didn't have to help me at all let alone try to save me a buck. I think I was stuck in West Palm.
It dawned on me that if we had more guys with his attitude and demeanor we would have a much better society today. It is nice that we have troopers on the road that go further than they have to help someone. Setting the example for the public and fellow officers. I never really had thought about it before. But he made me appreciate that there are still good people in this world that go beyond the call of duty. May God watch over all of you. Be safe.
Sincerely,
Brian Travinski
