I would like to thank and commend Trooper Domingo Casiano for his professional response to an accident that my elderly parents recently experienced. Trooper Casiano has found that delicate balance between treating people with respect and care, and performing his duties under difficult circumstances. He was thorough, professional and understanding.

My elderly parents were hit head-on while enroute to a closing on their home. My mother, the driver, was very upset about papers in the car that related to her home sale. (Actually, she was frantic that a check for $25,000. was in the car, and out of her control.) She had Trooper Casiano looking for that check, when I arrived. I subsequently found the check and documents. I am sure that it wasn't the job for an experienced trooper to look for a little old lady's paperwork, but he seemed to know how urgent it was and tried to satisfy her immediate need. In addition, he did a complete investigation, and followed up in the hospital.

I am very grateful to Trooper Casiano, and feel that he exemplifies the professionalism and compassion inherent in the Florida Highway Patrol. The FHP is lucky to have him.
