To whom it may concern:
I unfortunately was pulled over today by Trooper S.L. Osborne, Badge# 328, Troop D-Orlando, while traveling home east bound on SR-528. I am not writing this letter to complain about this Officer but to compliment him on his professionalism. Having previously been a Sergeant with the Florida Department of Corrections for close to 9 years, you can assume how many men and women I have come into contact with in the Law enforcement community.
After I made the unintelligent decision to drive in the emergency lane of the road to avoid the traffic headed towards the shuttle launch, Trooper Osborne began pulling me over in seconds. He had began the traffic stop as usual however, what stuck out when he returned to my vehicle (with my ticket), he explained to me in a professional, courteous and teaching way exactly what I could do to avoid points on my license as well as explaining to me the available options for Driving School.
I was very impressed with him and this treatment and felt that it needed to be noticed.
Please see to it that this email be forwarded to him so he knows that not only is he doing this State a great service there are people who appreciate a polite, and professional Law Enforcement Officer.
