TO THE
FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL,
I would like to commend Trooper Roy Blanco, Jr. for his kind assistance to my sudden panic.
I was located at the Rest Stop on I-95 just south of the Jacksonville County Line in St. John's county.
After returning from the facilities with a change of clothes, comb and brush in my hand, I opened the
car on the passenger side to place things away. I threw the keys over to my drivers seat and closed
the door and proceeded around the car only to find that everything was inside and locked up tight.
Trooper Roy Blanco, agreed to call for assistance for me to open the car. I explained that I needed
to reach the group of people gathered at a restaurant nearby and that they would be worried if I didn't
show up. Then I left to see if I could make the call by using the reverse the charge method. In the '
meantime, Trooper Blanco had reached the car dealership and was giving the location and model
of car and my information. When I got back to him, he had called to have his wife try to reach my
party for me. I thought that he really had helped me out in a difficult situation and wanted to tell the
FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL that he is a dedicated person, and I appreciated his assistance.
A Thankful Heart,
Mrs. Margaret Winters
