We are writing this letter to notify you of the outstanding conduct by Trooper Barron.
On Sunday, June 12 at approximately 9:30 p.m., our daughter Sara was involved in a single car accident while she was driving to Tampa. The accident occured in the Lakeland area. The roads were wet and while Sara was trying to make her way down an exit ramp she lost control of her car and hit the guard rail. Fortunately Sara was not hurt but she was badly frightened and very upset over the whole ordeal.
Luckily an off-duty fireman was traveling on the same stretch of road as Sara and came to her aid. He placed the call to FHP, then he called us in Port St. Lucie and stayed with Sara the entire time.
Trooper Barron came to the site of the accident shortly after the call was placed. He was very patient with Sara and when the accident report was completed he made sure to take her out of harms way and waited with Sara for over two hours until her Dad could get to Lakeland to pick her up.
We feel that Trooper Barron went above and beyond his duty to make sure our daughter was safe and for two frantic parents that meant so much and we really appreciated his help.
Please be sure to tell Trooper Barron that we feel his exceptional conduct is a great asset to your department.
With sincere thanks,
Bruce, Linda and Sara Johnson
