On March 8, 2004 I was hit from behind in an accident on I-95 Northt at about 5:45 pm near Ft. Lauderdale airport. Being 67 years old, this was my first accident and I was terrified. Female officer Osbourne arrived on the scene and in horrendous traffic, escorted my car out of the line of traffic to the median of I-95. She was my pillar of strength and helped me through this trying ordeal and did all the necessary paperwork. She went so far as to make sure I was calm and alright to drive before she allowed me to leave the scene. Her presence and demeanor had a calming affect on me. When it was time to go, she "ran interference" for me and let me pull in front of her to get back into the lane of traffic. To me, she seemed to go above and beyond the call of duty in her compassion for my predicament. I have never had a ticket or been involved with law enforecment before, but thank God that there are troopers like Ms. Osbourne out there.
I am sorry that it has taken me so long to give her my thank you, but I am still going to the doctor 3 times a week for my injuries and time has just slipped away from me.
Trooper Osbourne, thank you so much. May God be with you and keep you safe.
