Please pass my sincere thanks to your FHP troopers who assisted me through a devastating period. My daughter was killed in an accident on 12 March. The FHP responded, investigated, made notifications, and walked me through the difficult process of dealing with this tremendous loss. Most of my dealings were with Cpl Darrell D. Carroll. He kept us informed of details as he learned them and helped us through the difficult process of understanding what happened and retrieving our daughter's personal belongings. I can't imagine even getting started with this process without Cpl Carroll's assistance. I have always respected those who put their lives on the line everyday for my safety, but I have a new respect for the duties and compassion required to be a FHP trooper. The professionalism and compassion shown me and my family has been instrumental in helping us deal with our loss. Please pass my sincere thanks to the staff of troopers at FHP-Bradenton (particularly Cpl Carroll) and the Polk County based trooper who notified my mother and gave us the initial information.
