Back in March we witnessed an incident involving the Florida Highway Patrol.

There is no need to list the details - suffice it to say we tried to report it and seemed to get nowhere. I requested assistance from the FHP web page and I was contacted the next day by Major Rick Carpenter. Major Carpenter listened to the issue with an incredible amount of empathy. He followed up with our information followed up afterwards. This is definitely a person in the top 1% of the Florida Highway Patrol and a definite credit to your administration.

We would ask you to do what you can to commend this man and encourage others to follow his example. Also, when I finally got in touch with him he was eating his lunch. I asked him to finish his lunch and give me a call when he was off the road since this was not front burner stuff. He declined and listened to my issue while eating - he said he is always available

I feel like I owe him a lunch. I probably can't get him to come to Brooksville, but I bet you could get him to Tallahassee :-) If you can take him out to lunch for us it would be appreciated all around I am sure

Also, I hope his superiors have him on the short list for promotions
