Hope your day is going well!
I just wanted to brag on Chief Austin. Last Friday after work, I was behind Chief Austin in traffic. A lady's car had stalled in our lane, two cars ahead of us. The folks immediately behind her, instead of stopping to help, went around. Chief Austin on the other hand, put on his emergency lights, got out and pushed the lady's car out of the way and stayed with her until her husband/boyfriend (?) could get to her. I felt a great sense of pride seeing one of our "GHQ" folks, helping a stranded motorist. I know we have heard so many complaints of our troopers not aided stranded motorist, but even after a hard day of work and late on a Friday afternoon, Chief Austin was more than happy to help the lady. She was so upset, but his presence seemed to help I think. I didn't stay around long, I was trying not to impede traffic further but I was able to watch from a distance. I found out today, that the young lady works here in the Neil Kirkman building too. I told Chief Austin that I have been bragging on him and I thought you might to know as well!
