Paul Tompkins

Trooper Paul Tompkins, who works in Troop G - Jacksonville, recently stopped a rental vehicle for unlawful speed (99mph in a 55mph zone) on Interstate 10 near Interstate 295. Upon probable cause, Trooper Tompkins conducted a search of the vehicle which led to the discovery 2,413 grams of ecstasy and cash totaling $20,936 dollars located in several pieces of luggage. The driver was subsequently arrested and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance while operating a motor vehicle and unlawful speed.

The FHP commends Trooper Tompkins for his commitment to seizing illegal drugs and contraband transported over the roadways of the State of Florida.
