Recently, The Florida Highway Patrol, Bureau of Investigations, Broward County Auto Theft Task Force, used the Troop E Tactical Response Team in order to execute a search warrant at a residence in Cutler Bay. Upon securing the residence, four male subjects were taken into custody. During an additional search, Florida Highway Patrol K-9 units discovered an underground marijuana grow lab. A total of 100 plants weighing 47 pounds were discovered. The marijuana plants and the cultivation paraphernalia were turned over to the Miami-Dade Police Department Narcotics Unit for further investigation. Lieutenant Paul Sharp, Sergeant Mark Shoaff, and Corporal Ivan Sarrion participated in the investigation.

The Broward County Auto Theft Task Force executed multiple arrest warrants throughout Broward and Miami-Dade Counties. A total of seven subjects were taken into custody in the South Florida area. An additional subject was taken into custody in Greer, South Carolina.
