Trooper Lucy Papp and Colby Turley

Recently, Trooper Lucy Papp, Occupant Protection Specialist in Troop F, met with Colby Turley, a safety advocate who is dedicated to helping others. On March 26, 2005, Colby was involved in a rollover accident in the Lee County portion of Interstate 75. Colby only survived this horrible crash because she was wearing her seat belt. Ms. Turley's accident has motivated her to become a public figure who is active in her community in promoting seat belt use.

At a recent event at Naples Community Hospital, Trooper Lucy Papp used one of FHP's rollover simulators to demonstrate the importance of using seat belts and child restraints. The event promoted safety throughout the community.
