Lt. Colonel John Czernis congratulates Jimmy Hanna
on 35 years of service to FHP.

In a world that is frequently changing, one thing has remained constant. That constant would be Jimmy Hanna. James A. Hanna retired this month from the FHP after 35 years of service as a Regional Duty Officer. Jimmy, who was hired by FHP to work in the Panama City center on October 1, 1972, has been a part of many changes over the past three and a half decades. Jimmy was one of the original Duty Officers who transferred to Tallahassee when the communication centers were regionally merged, and has a long tenure with the agency, something rarely seen by most employees in this day and age. His long-term commitment speaks volumes about his work ethic and loyalty to the Patrol. "Jimmy will be truly missed," says co-worker Mike Jenkins (DOS). "His knowledge and dedication have been invaluable to the Tallahassee Regional Communications Center."

Jimmy plans on spending his retirement relaxing with his wife, Connie. Some of Jimmy’s favorite activities include hunting and fishing. Congratulations on a well-earned retirement!

DOS Jenkins wishes Jimmy the best from TRCC.

Jimmy has made a lasting impact on the people he has worked with over the years. His dedication to duty has enhanced the Agency during the time he has served. The employees of the Florida Highway Patrol will miss Jimmy and wish him the best in his future endeavors.
