Trooper Mike Grider and Jackal work together
to show kids search and rescue techniques.

Troop F employees got together recently to benefit the kids of Cape Coral. Trooper Mike Grider, K-9 Jackal and Corporal Chris Cribbs promoted important safety messages to the kids at the First Baptist Church of Cape Coral, which runs an after school program for kids ranging in ages from elementary school to high school. The kids got to watch the rollover simulator and hear about important safety messages regarding seat belts and car seats. The kids were then treated to a K-9 demonstration from Tpr. Mike Grider and his furry partner. Tpr. Grider instructed Jackal to demonstrate his skills in searching and recovering suspects, narcotics, and different types of contraband. The kids learned all about making safe, smart, and healthy decisions. Troopers were available to answer questions and interact with the kids after the demonstration.
