While traveling south on US 29 in Escambia County, Duty Officers Deborah Brierton, Frances Dunn, Gloria Bryan and Michele Christensen observed a female driving erratically on the roadway. While following behind the vehicle, they observed the driver veering her vehicle off the road onto the right shoulder several times and swerving into the left lane causing several drivers to stop suddenly in order to avoid a crash. Duty Officer Dunn called Escambia County Sheriff's Office, while Duty Officer Bryan called Trooper Mike Tucker who works in that area.

The duty officers remained on the phone, giving detailed information of how the woman was driving and updating the location of the vehicle while Trooper Tucker moved into position. He waited until the driver was in front of him and then pulled her over. Two Escambia County deputies arrived on the scene to provide back up for trooper Tucker. The woman was arrested for DUI (Driving Under the Influence) and transported to the Escambia County jail. Good job FHP team!
