Recently, Lt. Paul France and Sgt. David Contessa, both nationally certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians, Troop F-Collier County, proved that promoting safety is everyone's job. Lt. France and Sgt. Contessa shared their Saturday with parents and children at a Child Safety Seat event at Babies R' Us in Sarasota. Even though they were working out of their routine area they were in their element, checking car seats for proper installation and use. The event was held as part of the store's grand opening in the area. Lt. France and Sgt. Contessa and other FHP Occupant Protection Specialists and CPS Techs provided valuable expertise on occupant protection and passed out coloring books, crayons and smiles to the participants at the Sarasota County event. Parents and children at the event are now safer thanks to the generosity of both Lt. France and Sgt. Contessa. Thanks to both of them for all they do to help make Florida's children safer.
