Recently, the Troop B Florida Highway Patrol Auxiliary (FHPA) inducted three new troopers into their ranks. The new members completed their FHPA requirements and took their Oath of Office as Major Rick Carpenter swore them in.

The new members were excited as they were issued their FHP Auxiliary equipment. After completing a thorough application and background process, they were put through a rigorous training program. After approximately nine months of preparation, the long awaited reward was at hand. The new auxiliary troopers will be able to ride with FHP troopers while on-shift and assist them with their day-to-day operations.

Troop B continues to conduct active FHP Auxiliary recruitment drives for qualified members. The troop has added four new auxiliary troopers to its ranks so far this year while four more possible members are in the background check process.

The FHPA is a diverse group of community-oriented men and women who donate their time and efforts to make the difficult task of law enforcement safer and more effective for the troopers and citizens traveling our highways.
