Four members of the FHP Office of Public Affairs recently attended the 2007 Florida Domestic Security Public Information Officers Planning Conference in Orlando. The three day event highlighted the response our Public Affairs Office staff will have and the role they will play in the event of a catastrophic event in our state.

Our agency’s PAO staff is one of the busiest information dissemination points in the entire state, and is responsible for more TV spots, radio shows, and media releases than any other law enforcement agency in Florida. Our PAO’s play a critical role in getting information to the public, especially since, according to the latest Nielsen ratings, Florida has six of the nation’s sixty-four largest media markets.
