Two bales of marijuana weigh in at fifty pounds.

A recent stop on I-75 in Sumter County by Troop C Contraband Interdiction Program team members Trooper Jason Lemery and Trooper Brian Davis took fifty pounds of marijuana off our roads and put a career drug trafficker out of business. When the suspect was stopped for a traffic violation, Trooper Lemery detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the late model Toyota Avalon. His suspicions were confirmed by Trooper Davis’s partner, K-9 Jewels, who led the team to the suspect’s truck where the drugs were located.
