Lakeland District Trooper Brett McCranie attempted a recent traffic stop in Polk County that led him into a nearby neighborhood where the driver and passenger stopped and fled on foot. With the assistance of Lakeland District Trooper Neil Browning and a Polk County Sheriff’s K-9 team, both suspects were found hiding under a house. Once their identities were determined, Polk County detectives were pleased to learn that we had caught two wanted fugitives who were wanted in connection with running a large auto theft ring in Central Florida.
