Trooper Karl Macomb

What began as an attempt to assist a stranded motorist stopped on the side of the road with an apparent disabled vehicle, resulted in the arrest of the motorist for Domestic Violence Battery. While on patrol on Interstate 75 in Hillsborough County, Trooper Karl Macomb stopped to check on a late model Pontiac he saw parked on the shoulder of the roadway. When Trooper Macomb approached the vehicle, he saw a suspect repeatedly striking his girlfriend in the face and mouth with a set of car keys. Quickly, Trooper Macomb grabbed the suspect and placed him into custody. Then, he administered first aid to the victim and called EMS. When EMS arrived, he transported the suspect to the Hillsborough County Jail. Thanks to Trooper Macomb, a victim was saved and a violator is behind bars.
